Birthday and Utah Weekend!!!

On the 3rd I celebrated my 27th Birthday... I feel so old and it seems like 30 is right around the corner!! The day started with Ryan taking me out to breakfast, followed by shopping, and then the wonderful surprise of going to The Melting Pot for dinner... which is my most favorite restaurant ever! I had no idea they even had one in Boise.

Back in August he had surprised me one morning with an early birthday present of an adorable puppy, tickets to the So You Think You Can Dance tour in Salt Lake City, and got me the Reebok Runtones I have been wanting forever!! He is such a wonderful, thoughtful, amazing husband, who completely spoils me... I got so lucky!

So we went down to Utah for the weekend and stayed with my bestest friend, Erika, and her family. Thursday, Erika and I went to the show... it was quite the ordeal and amusing that the average age was 14!! We got there and found out or seats had been double sold and people were already in them, so we had to hang out while the usher tried to figure out where to put us... their solution ended up being to add some extra seats in the back (where you could not see) and we were just supposed to be fine with it!! We had floor seats, 17th row... so we were not happy and ended up switching seats about 3 times before the show was over. The show was so much fun... it was so different to see them in person than just on the TV... we were a little disappointed our favorite dancer, Twitch, was not there.

Friday, Erika and her husband Jason took us out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse... and to embarrass me beyond belief she told the waitress it was my birthday and they brought out a saddle and I had to sit on it in the middle of the restaurant! They were laughing their heads off while taking some blurry pictures... apparently my face was bright red!

Saturday, Ryan and I went to the BYU football game... which they won!! The weather was perfect and we had a great time. I was also fortunate to go visit my wonderful, amazing friend Amy and her cute family. She had an adorable baby girl that I had not met yet... and it is always an adventure with her 2 little boys! It was such a fun and needed weekend, I did not want it to end!!

Pumpkins and Halloween...

As much as I love everything about the summer season, I would have to say that the Fall is a close competitor... the changing leaves, the smell in the air, the decorations. About a week ago we carved pumpkins with Ryan's family. I am not the most creative, so I cheated by putting stickers on mine and cutting around them. We were also quite entertained by his little brother who was pulling out the pumpkin guts and eating them!!

Halloween is definitely my most favorite holiday of the year... when else do you have a reason to dress up when you get older!! We went to a couple parties this year, I was Lucy from I Love Lucy and Ryan was George Bush... I wanted him to be my Ricky, but he thought he didn't look Cuban enough. We dressed up our monsters, Okie was a pumpkin and Daisy (our new addition as of August) was a bumble bee. It was so funny to watch them run around and try to eat each others costumes. I just hate how excited you get for a holiday and when it comes it goes by way too fast!!

The Honeymoon!

Our lives have been a little hectic the past few months and I am really behind on my blog! So much has changed I don't know where to even begin. We spent our honeymoon on a week long cruise to Mexico... which was amazing! We did so many fun things: walked on the bottom of the ocean with bubble heads, mountain biked, held a baby lion and jaguar, rode mules, went on zip lines and repelled. We decided that our goal was to some day live on a cruise ship and travel the world! Here are some of our adventures...

Wedding!!

I felt like I was waiting FOREVER for my wedding pictures to come and was getting quite impatient! They came last week and they are amazing... thanks to a wonderful photographer named Vicki (not sure her last name), but her website is www.ctrimage.com. There are over 600 pics!! We were married in Nampa, ID at the The Secret Place, it was absolutely gorgeous with perfect weather. I was fortunate to have close family and friends there, despite the distance. I know it has been a little while, but THANK YOU to those who came and helped with everything... and to my best friend Erika who made the day run perfectly! Here are some of my favorites...

Engagements...

So I finally got our engagement pictures on my computer!! We took them out in Highland with a FABULOUS photographer named Matt Clayton. He was so creative and had a great vision of how he wanted them to turn out. We changed into 3 different outfits and had a blast. I could not have been happier with the turnout. Here are my favorites... (out of 186 pics!)

Tulip Festival...

I love love love flowers and was so excited when Ryan got us tickets for the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point!! The festival is acres and acres of perfectly landscaped gardens with half a million tulips of every color and shape imaginable.

It was so nice and relaxing to just walk around, but we had to dodge all the old people on the golf carts and do our best to not get blown away!

They have a pond with tons of fish in it... we had a good time throwing the fish food in and watching them attack each other for it. We also saw an owl on the rocks sitting on it's baby... we waited hoping to see the baby come out and walk around, but it was too windy.

Thanks for taking me love... I had a fabulous time!
