Birthday and Utah Weekend!!!

On the 3rd I celebrated my 27th Birthday... I feel so old and it seems like 30 is right around the corner!! The day started with Ryan taking me out to breakfast, followed by shopping, and then the wonderful surprise of going to The Melting Pot for dinner... which is my most favorite restaurant ever! I had no idea they even had one in Boise.

Back in August he had surprised me one morning with an early birthday present of an adorable puppy, tickets to the So You Think You Can Dance tour in Salt Lake City, and got me the Reebok Runtones I have been wanting forever!! He is such a wonderful, thoughtful, amazing husband, who completely spoils me... I got so lucky!

So we went down to Utah for the weekend and stayed with my bestest friend, Erika, and her family. Thursday, Erika and I went to the show... it was quite the ordeal and amusing that the average age was 14!! We got there and found out or seats had been double sold and people were already in them, so we had to hang out while the usher tried to figure out where to put us... their solution ended up being to add some extra seats in the back (where you could not see) and we were just supposed to be fine with it!! We had floor seats, 17th row... so we were not happy and ended up switching seats about 3 times before the show was over. The show was so much fun... it was so different to see them in person than just on the TV... we were a little disappointed our favorite dancer, Twitch, was not there.

Friday, Erika and her husband Jason took us out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse... and to embarrass me beyond belief she told the waitress it was my birthday and they brought out a saddle and I had to sit on it in the middle of the restaurant! They were laughing their heads off while taking some blurry pictures... apparently my face was bright red!

Saturday, Ryan and I went to the BYU football game... which they won!! The weather was perfect and we had a great time. I was also fortunate to go visit my wonderful, amazing friend Amy and her cute family. She had an adorable baby girl that I had not met yet... and it is always an adventure with her 2 little boys! It was such a fun and needed weekend, I did not want it to end!!
